A big crowd enjoyed the great weather for our Opening Day Parade and games on Saturday at Walsh Park. Big Thank You to LaGrange Fire Department for the Breakfast and leading the parade, Ashland Oldham Couny Church and their festivities, Dough Baby Doughnuts for their doughnuts, Brad Bates for throwing the first pitch and Ansley Colvin for singing the National Anthem. There was plenty of exciting games and play.
In Major Baseball, the Astros took care of the Indians 12-2, the Braves knocked off the Dodgers 9-1 and the Yankees took care of the Redsoxs 12-5. In Major Softball, The Hornets shutout the Scorpions 8-0.
In Minor Baseball, Giants downed the A's 12-7, the Reds stopped the Cardinals 14-11, the Bluejays topped the Rangers 10-6, and Orioles finished the day with a 4-3 win over the Cubs. In Minor Softball, the Outlaws beat the Dynamites 16-13 and the Cyclones topped the Rampage 6-3.
In Rookie Baseball, the Rays stopped the Phillies 12-1 for the win. The Twins defeated the Royals 10-7, The Mariners held off Pirates to win 10-9, the Mets picked up their first win as they won 7-3 over the Marlins. In rookie Softball, the Rampage picked up a 10-7 win over the Magic and the Warriors stopped the Outlaws 11-10.
